For a cleaner future

"Environmental Pollution Education" was given to students of Esentepe Study Center by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department. During the training held for the first time in a Study Center, were discussed topics such as Environmental Cleaning, the Global Warming, Ecosystem, Renewable Energy and Recycling.

Environmental Pollution Control and Audit Directorate of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department held the "Environmental Pollution Education" for Esentepe Study Center students. Education seminar was attended by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Gökoğlan, the Head of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department Lale Gönüllü, the Head of Culture and Social Affairs Department and the Study Center students. During the training held for the first time in a Study Center, attendant environmental engineers of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department discussed topics such as Environmental Cleaning, the Global Warming, Ecosystem, Renewable Energy and Recycling. With animated film were described to all students the factors that cause environmental pollution and ways of protection against the harmful sun rays. Then, Environmental Engineer Ramazan Değirmenci provided information to students about solid waste and its administration, recycling of waste, recycling and re-using. Explaining how to reduce solid wastes, Değirmenci shown that the black bags distributed for free by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality are for the household waste while the blue bags are for recyclable waste such as plastic bottles, paper, glass bottles and cans.


Children received comics and t-shirts as gifts.


Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Gökoğlan said that the training provided by the Environmental Protection and Control Department will be given to all students in the study centers in Denizli. Stating that after training will be provided for students in the 10 study centers in the city center it will be also provided in all Denizli's districts, Deputy Secretary General Gökoğlan said: ''Firstly we will start with the cleaning of our body. And we continue with kepping clean our homes, our school, our parks and streets. All of these lead to the protection of nature and environment, "he said. After the training, children received comics titled "Environmental Pollution, Global Warming, Ecosystems, Renewable Energy and Recycling" prepared by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality and "Hand in hand for a clean environment" printed T-shirt   as a gift.
