Ashura from the Metropolitan
Due to the month of Muharram, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality distributed Ashura to 10 thousand people. Denizli Governor Şükrü Kocatepe, Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan, protocol members and thousands of citizens joined the event.
Due to the month of Muharram, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality offered to citizens Ashura. The event held in Bayramyeri Square was joined by the Denizli Governor Şükrü Kocatepe, Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan, Brigade Commander Brigadier General Erhan Uzun, Head of departments, invited guests and many citizens. Governor Kocatepe, Mayor Zolan and members of the protocol served by themselves Ashura to the citizens. 10 thousand citizens showed great interest in the event and Ashura has been consumed in a short time. Stating that the month of Muharram is one of the holy months for Muslims, Mayor Zolan, ''The beauty of this tradition is a necessity of our religious faith and it is celebrated for more than a thousand years. With the same taste, with the same beauty we reach again the same intense emotion. Organizing this event for years as Denizli Municipality, this year we wanted to perform it as a Metropolitan Municipality. We need to keep alive our values, we need to transmit them to the new generations, our children, our people need to live these traditions over again, "he said.

Mayor Zolan, continued as follows: ''We organized this event in order to meet with people again, in solidarity, in this traditional almsgiving. I thank our people for joining the event.
