"Woman with Poetry and Songs"

Within the framework of the March 8 International Women's Day events,.Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Women's Assembly organized the program "Woman with Poetry and Songs". During the program, the Urban Poets Society read beautiful poems and the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory TSM Community sang the most beautiful songs for women.

Within the framework of the March 8 International Women's Day, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Women's Assembly organized the program called "Woman with Poetry and Songs". Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council President Ali Değirmenci, Head of Culture, Tourism and Publicity Department, Hüdaverdi Otaklı, City Council Women's Assembly President Bilsen Özen, and many guests joined the program held at the Çatalçeşme Theatre Hall. During the program, the Urban Poets Society read beautiful poems and the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory TSM Community sang the most beautiful songs for women.


We don't want to hear anymore the words 'woman and violence' side by side


Stating that poems and songs were a little sad that, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Women's Assembly President Bilsen Özen said: ''With your permission I would like to dedicate this day to those women like Özgecan, Cansel, Münevver, who didn't live their lives, who didn't live their youth. Rest them in peace. Once again we remember them with sadness. ''Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council President Ali Değirmenci said: ''We don't want to hear the word 'woman' associate with violence, abuse or murder anymore. Hoping that in the future we will have a world where the word 'woman' will be associated only with beautiful words such as affection, love and beauty, I would like to congratulate all women for March 8 International Women's Day. ''


'Letter to myself'


The program also included the award ceremony of the 'Letter to myself' contest organized by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Women's Assembly with the aim to increase individual awareness. The winners Hülya Bulutlu, Çiğdem Nalbant Kordon and Sevilay Şentürk received their prizes from the members of the protocol.
