Mayor Zolan celebrated the Working Journalists' Day

Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan has released a message on the occasion of January 10, Working Journalists' Day. Reminding that the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the citizens during the coup attempt on July 15, has changed the future of this country, Mayor Zolan stressed once again the importance of journalism.

Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan has released a message on the occasion of January 10, Working Journalists' Day. Stating that journalism is a profession that requires great sacrifice, Mayor Zolan said: ''Journalists, who are aware of the process and the evolution of society and do their job even under difficult conditions, are one of democracy pillars. Journalists have a very important role in informing the public impartial and accurate, and also in promoting the social development. ''


Reminding that the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the citizens during the coup attempt on July 15, has changed the future of this country, Mayor Zolan said: ''If the call of our President hasn't been transmitted by the journalists to millions of people, today none of us would be here. ''


Stating that Informing people about their developments with accurate and unbiased information is an indispensable condition for an conscious society, Mayor Zolan said: ''Everyone can appreciate the selfless work of journalists who are working heart and soul in all circumstances to obtain the right to inform the society. Denizli Metropolitan Municipality believes that press-media organizations perform a holy duty. ''


Mayor Zolan said: ''We will always continue to support the journalists, who are an indispensable part of our democracy, fulfilling the need of the most basic rights of people. On this occasion, I congratulate all the journalists for January 10 - Working Journalists' Day and I wish Allah have mercy on our journalists who lost their lives on duty. ''
