Denizli Metropolitan Municipality General Directorate of Water and Sewerage Administration (DESKİ), which started to provide service throughout the city after becoming Metropolitan continue the infrastructure works started a while ago in Baklan district. In this scope, Denizli Metropolitan DESKİ will renew the infrastructure of Baklan laying 40.000-meter of sewer line, 37.000-meter of drinking water line and 13.000-meter of stormwater line and will also build a 500-cubic-meter drinking water reservoir in the district. Metropolitan DESKİ is also going on the construction of Baklan Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will complete this project. The advanced biological wastewater treatment plant will purify more than 1,400 cubic meters of water per day. Baklan Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, built on an area of 5 thousand 500 square meters, will meet the needs of 3 thousand 100 people in the first stage.
