Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan issued a message on April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day. Celebrating all children for the feast, Mayor Osman Zolan said, ''You are the real owners of our country, the future of our tomorrows and the values of our nation that will rise. ''

Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan issued a message on April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day. Stating that April 23, 1920, is a very important turning point in terms of the Turkish nation, Mayor Osman Zolan said, ''April 23, 1920, the foundation of our democracy, which is the sine qua non of the independence of our country, is not only the opening of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, but also a gift to our children and the children of the world, who are the owners of our future, the sovereign guardians of our republic. Founder of our Republic, the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has brought to our country the self-managing idea of maturing the Parliament. Stressing that those who sacrificed their lives for the Independence Struggle will live forever in our hearts and minds, Mayor Zolan said, ''We will continue to explain our glorious history to future generations and to allow them to feel that spirit at any moment. ''
 
''I wish happy holidays, tomorrow to be much happier''
 
Stating that the real owner of  the Republic of Turkey is the future generations, Mayor Zolan addressed to children in his message: ''Dear children, this special day gave to you and the children of the world as a feast by our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, is as well as the day of joy and pride for our nation. You are the real owners of our country, the future of our tomorrows, and the values of our nation that will rise. Our country and our nation, above the level of contemporary civilization, will keep your faith and the power of our history is reserved. Together with you, we will continue to work day and night to carry a more advanced and modern Denizli to the future. I  wish you happy holidays, tomorrow to be much happier. On this occasion, we commemorate firstly our Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all our heroes who founded the TBMM with gratitude and I wish mercy to our martyrs. ''
