Metropolitan protects the Ababil birds

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality has extended the hand of compassion to other living beings in nature and has owned two very rare Ababil birds, who spend 90 per cent of their lives in the air. The Ababil birds, thought to have fallen out of their nests, will be kept in care for a while and then re-released to their natural habitat.

Providing its services in the care and treatment of wounded street animals, animals involved in an accident and ill-treated animals, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Street Animals Shelter and Rehabilitation Center and Wildlife Park continue to extend the hand of compassion to the other living beings in nature. The teams of General Directorate of Nature Protection and National Parks have brought recently two Ababil birds found on the balcony of a house. Hungry and exhausted, the Ababil birds were later brought to Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Street Animals Shelter and Rehabilitation Center. After the first examination, Metropolitan veterinarians determined that birds were perfectly healthy. Ababil birds are under the care of the Metropolitan Municipality Street Animals Shelter and Rehabilitation Center for a while and then re-released to their natural habitat.
