Wild storage ends in Buldan and Güney

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality has started the construction of Buldan Solid Waste Transfer Station, which will end the wild storage in Buldan and Güney districts. The project will eliminate the negative impacts of 50 tons of waste collected from two districts on the environment and human health, while packaging wastes will be restored to the economy.

 After ending the wild storage in Acıpayam and Serinhisar districts by building the Acıpayam Solid Waste Transfer Station, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality will end the wild storage in Buldan and Güney districts by building the Buldan Solid Waste Transfer Station. The facility built by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, Environmental Protection and Control Department will receive 50 tons of domestic solid waste collected daily from Buldan and Güney districts. The transfer station built on an area of approximately 7,000 square meters, domestic solid wastes collected from two districts will be transferred from small vehicles to large vehicles and transported to the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Solid Waste Storage Facility.
 
Wastes restored to the economy
 
With the implementation of the project, domestic solid wastes and domestic industrial wastes that will be brought to the facility from these districts in a mixed manner will be disposed of by regular storage in the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Solid Waste Storage Facility. Waste batteries will be stored temporarily and packaging waste will be recycled and restored to the economy. With the facility, the risks that threaten human and environmental health in Buldan and Güney districts will be eliminated.
 
Environmentally sensitive municipality
 
Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan said they would continue to work by the understanding of an environmentally sensitive municipality. Stating that Metropolitan Municipality always gave great importance to environmental sensitivity and their work is going on, to leave a livable city to the next generations, Mayor Osman Zolan said, ''We stopped the wild storage in Buldan and Güney districts. We also aim to minimize the negative effects of wild storage on the ecological environment. I wish the Buldan Solid Waste Transfer Station, which will be completed soon, to be auspicious for Buldan, Güney and our Denizli. ''
