Women told young people the secret of success

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Women's Assembly held a panel in the context of the 85th anniversary of the Turkish women's right to vote and to be elected. At the panel, women from politics, academics and the business world gave the young people very valuable pieces of advice.

 Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Women's Assembly held a panel in the context of the 85th anniversary of the Turkish women's right to vote and to be elected. In this context, Women's Assembly has brought together successful women from politics, academics and the business world of Denizli with the students of Albayrak Borsa İstanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. City Council President Ali Değirmenci, Women Assembly President Bilsen Özen, Denizli Provincial Health Director Dr Berna Öztürk,Metropolitan Municipality City Council Member Keziban Uygun Aksoy, PAÜ Turkish Language and Literature Instructor Havva Ergür, Women's Assembly board members and students attended the panel. City Council President Değirmenci reminded that on December 5th, 1934, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, gave the Turkish women the right to vote and to be elected.
 
''We need to know our history''
 
City Council President Değirmenci continued his speech as follows: ''Turkish women received the right to vote and to be elected before many countries that we are trying to take as an example of civilization today. We need to know our history so that we can walk more confident in our future. Denizli Metropolitan Municipality works with women in many branches from art to sports, from education to culture. ''
 
''Turkish woman makes everything for her homeland''
 
Stating that ''A person can live without a mother, but cannot live without homeland'', Assembly Member Keziban Uygun Aksoy said, ''Turkish women have always been altruistic and devoted to their country. Patriotic Turkish woman makes everything for her country without even thinking. The Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk gave us this right and increased the value and position of Turkish women before many European countries. A woman is the most important individual in society. There is no mention of social progress in political and social life without women. ''
 
''Nothing is impossible to achieve your dreams''
 
Emphasizing that the way to be successful passes through the steps taken in the education process, Dr Öztürk said that he worked with the dream to become a doctor during his high school years. Öztürk said, ''My goal was always to take care of the patient, as a physician. I've never thought of working as a manager. I became deputy chief physician in 2006, and today I work at Denizli Provincial Health Directorate. When you're a student, it looks like it's too far up. But I want you to know that nothing is far and impossible. Everything in your life starts here and now. ''
 
''The power is in your heart''
 
PAÜ Turkish Language and Literature Instructor Havva Ergür drew attention on the need of young people's trusting themselves. Ergür said, ''You are now at the beginning of a very beautiful road and have very beautiful dreams. First of all, I want to state that being a mother and being a housewife is not an obstacle for a successful woman. Firstly, you need to trust yourself. With the right to vote and to be elected given by the Great Leader Atatürk 85 years ago, we can see many successful women's stories today. Successful and powerful Turkish women of the future, the power is in your heart. ''
