Laying the foundation Denizli Municipality's Sports Center
Mayor Osman Zolan: 'I believe that in a very short time Denizli will be the amateur sports center.'
Denizli Municipality has gained to Denizli a new sport facility.The Sports Center will be built at the territory of Fesleğen District's Atatürk Primary School. Nihat Zeybekci Member of Parliament, Abdülkadir Demir Denizli Governor, Mayor Osman Zolan, Hüseyin Gürlesin Chairman of Provincial Council, many bureaucrats and citizens attended the ceremony.
Mayor Zolan in his speech expressed his satisfaction with the construction of new sports center. Mayor: 'Sports Center will be built on 200 square meters area with the total capacity of 500-seats. Construction is scheduled to complete on February 15. Denizli Municipality has gained to Denizli many the greatest projects. I would like to thank Nihat Zeybekci for his efforts in implementation of these projects. We aslo have implemented many important works in inter-agency co-operation. In this regard I also thank Denizli Governor for his contribution to realization of many projects. Today we laid the foundation to new sports center. Our children will have the opportunity to do sports in a very modern sports center.Denizli Municipality has built many sport facilities such as district fields, open space sports facilities and Traditional Turkish Sports Complex. We give free riding courses for children; 5000 children participated in summer sports school. We will begin the construction of indoor swimming pools in different districts of the city. I believe, that during the two years Denizli will become the amateur sports center.
Nihat Zeybekci in his speech congratulated Mayor Zolan with realization of this project. 'These facilities are extremely important for our children. I am sure that in the future we will get the important achievements in sports.'
Governor pointed out the importance of sports places for young people. In this way he pointed out the importance of 'Let's Schools Find Life' project, launched by Ministry of Education. Governor: 'Thanks to this project, schools will be used more by citizens. School halls and computers will be opened to citizens.'
