Denizli has experienced sports this summer
For the children and young people to spend more efficient their free time in the summer months, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality has organized withing the Summer Sport School, free courses in 25 different branches of sports. A total of 10 thousand citizens attended the free courses from which 5, 800 attended the swimming courses.
In order to improve the quality of people's social life and to get use to practice sports regularly in contemporary conditions, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality continued this year to organize Summer Sports School for thousands of children. In this context, the sports centers depending on Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Cultural and Social Affairs Department have provided free courses in 25 different branches of sport such as athletics, badminton, basketball, horse riding, boxing, ice skating, ballet, capoeira, physically handicapped wheelchair basketball, soccer, modern dance, gymnastics, pilates, archery, wrestling, folk dance, zumba, handball, judo, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, chess and swimming. Using the slogan ''Everyone will know to swim'', within the Summer Sports School in the June-July-August period were provided free swimming courses in the Kayıhan Indoor Swimming Pool and Bağbaşı Outdoor Pool for 5 thousand 800 children and adults.

Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan said that in order to improve the quality of people's social life and to get use to practice sports regularly in contemporary conditions, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality will continue to organize free courses. Mayor Zolan, ''This year, as every year Denizli Metropolitan Municipality has given the opportunity to citizens to practice sports by organizing free courses in 25 different branches of sports. Especially our children must do sports. We work to have better future generations, ''he said. Denizli Metropolitan Municipality gives a different importance to sport and education. With these courses we aim to meet children, young people and adults with sports and to add awareness to social life, "he said.
