Denizli Metropolitan Municipality joins forces with science to strengthen earthquake resilience 27.07.2026 The first phase of fieldwork has begun for the earthquake research project conducted under the TÜBİTAK 1001 programme, with Denizli Metropolitan Municipality serving as a project partner. Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu stated that they fully support all scientific studies aimed at strengthening the city’s earthquake resilience and emphasised that the data to be obtained will guide urban planning.
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality steps up support for stray animals 27.07.2026 Denizli Metropolitan Municipality’s Stray Animal Shelter and Rehabilitation Centre continues to provide vital care for stray animals with eight fully equipped teams, smart digital tracking systems and a commitment to providing free services. In the first half of 2026, record increases were recorded in the numbers of animals neutered, adopted and rehabilitated, while the centre extended its compassionate care beyond stray animals to injured wildlife as well.
Mayor Çavuşoğlu conducts a series of visits in Beyağaç 25.07.2026 Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu carried out a series of visits in Beyağaç, where he travelled to attend the greenhouse plastic distribution ceremony for tobacco producers. Meeting with producers, Mayor Çavuşoğlu, together with Beyağaç Mayor Sezayi Pütün, inspected several joint projects underway in the district, ranging from the town square redevelopment to social facilities.
Mayor Çavuşoğlu welcomes LGS champions 24.07.2026 Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu welcomed six champion students from Denizli who ranked first in Türkiye after achieving a perfect score of 500 in the LGS, along with their families. DESKİ launches an investment that will bring relief to Baklan 24.07.2026 The General Directorate of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality DESKİ has commissioned the Çataloba Natural Treatment Facility in Çataloba Neighbourhood of Baklan district as part of its sustainable environmental policies. Standing out with its design that is fully compatible with nature and its zero-energy consumption, the facility will both improve the quality of life for local residents and protect natural resources.
World classics take the stage at the 2nd Denizli Opera and Ballet Days 24.07.2026 The 2nd Denizli Opera and Ballet Days, organised in collaboration with Denizli Metropolitan Municipality and the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet, will bring two monumental works of world classics together with art lovers at the Ancient City of Hierapolis. The performances of “Swan Lake” and “Zorba” can be attended with free e-tickets, complimentary entrance to the archaeological site and transportation support from five different locations.
Mayor Çavuşoğlu conducts intensive fieldwork in Kale 22.07.2026 Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu conducted a comprehensive field visit to Kale district as part of the Greenhouse Plastic Support Distribution Programme. Meeting with neighbourhood heads and listening to the demands of local communities, Mayor Çavuşoğlu also inspected the 15-kilometre roadworks along the Çamlarca–Gülbağlık route on site.
Major support for producers from Denizli Metropolitan Municipality 21.07.2026 Denizli Metropolitan Municipality has launched the distribution phase of its greenhouse plastic support programme for tobacco producers, introduced to support rural development, strengthen agricultural production and ease the financial burden on producers. The first ceremony was held in Kale district, and under the project, 2,242 producers across the province will receive support in the form of 538,080 square metres of greenhouse plastic.
