Summer School hosted 1800 students
Opened within Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Study Centers, the Summer School hosted this semester 1,800 students. Also contributing to the preparation of the 8th grade students for the TEOG exam, the students attending Summer School had the opportunity to spend a pleasant time for 6 weeks.
The Summer School opened this year on June 29 in all the 10 Study Centers founded by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality 9 years ago in different neighborhoods of the city has ended. A total of 1,800 students in the primary and secondary education attended the courses of the Summer School that lasted 6 weeks. Opened in order to facilitate students' access to information and to spend their free time by doing useful activities, the Summer School provided trainings and activities such as Quran, hand skills, intelligence games, traditional children games, testing solution, practical English, debating and reading books. A total of 1.800 students attended the Summer School opened in Karaman, Yenişehir, Sevindik, Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Fatih, Gökpınar, Anafartalar, Aktepe, Atalar and Kayıhan Study Centers. Also the 8th graders had the opportunity to prepare for the TEOG exam that will be held in 2015-2016 academic year.
They prepared for TEOG exam
Stating that he has attended the Study Center's courses for 6 years, the 8th grader Halil Bozdemir, ''The teachers here work with us individually and debate every topic. These centers also contribute to get a more successful education, "he said. The 8th grader Hüseyin Ebcim, ''I've got information on various topics since the day I came to the Summer School. In particular, with the training given here by our teachers for TEOG exam we are one step ahead of our other friends. I would like to thank the Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan for providing us this opportunity and supporting us in education, ''he said. The 8th grade student Duygu Bul said she became more successful in testing solutions of TEOG exam with the training received here.
They used their holidays efficiently
Stating that they had also developed their hand skills together with a variety of activities as well as studding, the 4th grade student Yavuz Selim Kavak, said: ‘’ I spent my summer holiday by reading books, solving tests, making new friends, by developing my hand skills and using my time efficiently," he said. The 2nd grade student Ceren Kocabaş said she spent her summer holiday by having fun.
