Denizli Metropolitan Municipality will organize the  Denizli Metropolitan Municipality 5th Denizli Glass Biennial in cooperation with the Mixed Design Workshop. The event will take place between May 2-5, 2019, and will contribute to the social, cultural and economic life of Denizli and will provide great support to the city. Turkey's first and only glass biennial, the Denizli Municipality 5th International Denizli Glass Biennial will begin on  Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 10:00, in the Metropolitan Municipality Nihat Zeybekci Congress and Culture Center with the theme ''Reflections''. Many glass artists from America, France, Latvia, Italy and Turkey will attend the biennial. The biennial, which will be realized with live glass shows and glass exhibitions with about 150 pieces of works in 7 different concepts, will be available to those interested in glass as well as amateur and professional. Everyone who wants to meet with the art of glass can participate in the free workshops.

 

Ten different artists will have a live glass show every day

 

Is expected intense participation from different provinces in the biennial, where visitors will be able to watch live glass shows of ten different artists every day, to participate in workshops and conferences. In addition to these, visitors will be able to make their own glass beads and participate in different events such as scraping glass cups and soda bottles for four days during the Biennial.

 

Exhibitions will be open until May 30

 

Also within the biennial will take place glass exhibitions such as the  Contemporary Glass Artists Mixed Glass Exhibition and Anadolu and Mimar Sinan University Students' Mixed Glass Exhibition, personal glass exhibitions of Candaş Şişman, Demir Kardaş, Felekşan Onar, Lucio Bubacco, Ömür -Fatih Duruerk and Tülin Akgül, opened until May 30, 2019, at Metropolitan Municipality Nihat Zeybekci Congress and Culture Center.

Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan said that they are happy to host once again the giant organization between May 2-5. Stating that they will host master names of glass art for four days in Denizli, Mayor Osman Zolan said, ''We are excited and happy to see the value given to art and culture with the International Denizli Glass Biennial, which we will organize for the 5th time this year. Denizli will host many world-renowned names in the field of glass art. As Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, we will always continue to support the art and culture. ''
