Great service from the Metropolitan to Turkish-Islamic culture
A protocol was signed for Adil Beştaş House, which was restored by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, to become the Turkish-Islamic Civilizations and Urban Memory Thought Center. A protocol was signed for Adil Beştaş House, restored by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality and saved from extinction, to become the Turkish-Islamic Civilizations and Urban Memory Thought Center. Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan, Deputy Secretary-General Seval Gebeş, Head of Turkish Ocaklar Denizli Branch Prof. Dr Turgut Tok and the board members of the association attended the protocol ceremony. The Turkish-Islamic Civilizations and Urban Memory Thought Center established in the historic house allocated to the Turkish Ocaklar Denizli Branch Association aimes to create a database to contribute to the social and cultural awareness of young people, to evaluate the history, social life, cultural structure, economic opportunities and urban identity of Denizli with an academic approach, to organize activities, to produce ideas that will raise awareness, and to take measures regarding problems that will impede cultural continuity.

Speaking at the protocol ceremony, Prof. Dr Tok wished that the protocol signed by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality with Turkish Ocaklar, one of Denizli's oldest non-governmental organizations, would be auspicious. Tok said, ''On behalf of all our members, on behalf of our city and our nation, we would like to express our gratitude and thanks to our Metropolitan Mayor Osman Zolan for allocating this historic Adil Beştaş House to the Turkish Ocaklar Association. Here, we are planning to organize activities that will serve the culture of our city, the culture of the Turkish nation, the Turkish world, and our geography with our city, our municipality and other non-governmental organizations. ''
''Will be passed on to future generations''
Stating that they are happy to realize a project desired for a long time, Mayor Zolan said, ''By signing this protocol with Turkish Ocaklar Denizli Branch we aim to integrate with the past, to keep here alive the beauties left by our ancestors, and to pass all our values to our future generations. ''Stating that great work has been done in the Turkish-Islamic history, Mayor Zolan said: ''This signature is one of the signatures that makes me the happiest. Let us have many beauties in this historical place. There will be conversations with our youth, meetings with our poets and many different professional institutions. I know that this place will be more beautiful with you, with our Turkish Ocaklar. I wish it will be auspicious for all of us. May Allah allow us to do good services here. '' Following the signing of the protocol, Mayor Zolan and his entourage visited the historical Adil Beştaş House.
