The 14th term of the "Hand in hand for education" Project ended
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Youth Assembly has completed the 14th term of the Hand in Hand for Education project initiated in 2008. The project has helped 5,500 young people to achieve their dreams so far.
5 thousand 500 young people benefited in 14 years
The "Hand in Hand for Education" Project, implemented by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Youth Assembly in 2008, has completed its 14th term. Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council President Ali Değirmenci, Head of Cultural and Social Affairs Department Hüdaverdi Otaklı, City Council Secretary-General Baran Akın, Youth Assembly President Tunahan Birden and volunteer trainers attended the closing program held at Servergazi Recreation Place. Stating that 5,500 youth benefited from the training within the scope of the project in 14 years, Gülsen Eltutan, the project coordinator of the Hand in Hand for Education project, said, ''We are happy that 5,500 students have benefited from our project, which is used free of charge by our high school and graduate students in Denizli. In the 2021-2022 academic year, we supported the education of 102 students, together with 35 volunteer instructors studying in various departments of Pamukkale University. We would like to thank everyone who contributed, especially the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Osman Zolan, who always supported us. ''

City Council President Ali Değirmenci said, ''The seeds of goodness sown for education will also offer you beauties. We are happy to help young people to achieve their dreams with the Hand in Hand for Education project for 14 years without interruption. Değirmenci said, ''This beautiful project that started in 2008 continues with you. We want to continue to be hand in hand with education and to be a light for our youth as the world turns. I am glad to see you giving hope to our young people, and I thank you very much. ''Emphasizing that young people volunteering as trainers will bring great benefits, Değirmenci said, ''If you can touch a person's life, then you become more peaceful and happy. This is what distinguishes us, humans, from other living beings. You have been a role model for our young people who have been trying to learn something from you for one year. Thank you for your efforts. ''After the speeches, City Council President Ali Değirmenci presented the volunteer trainers with a certificate of appreciation.
