
The hero search and rescue teams returned from the earthquake zone
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department search and rescue teams, working day and night in Hatay to support search and rescue activities after the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, returned from the earthquake zone. Metropolitan Fire Brigade teams saved 36 lives from 12 different wrecks with 112 personnel and 14 vehicles and received great appreciation for their work in the region.

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade search and rescue teams, who went to the disaster area immediately after the disaster of the century that shook Turkey deeply, returned to Denizli after completing their search and rescue activities in Hatay. After the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality mobilized all its resources in Hatay under the coordination of AFAD, and the Metropolitan Fire Brigade teams, from the first day of the earthquake and helped by saving 36 lives from 12 different wrecks with 112 personnel and 14 vehicles. Denizli Metropolitan Fire Brigade teams gained a great appreciation for their devoted and self-sacrificing work in the region and rescued five pet friends out of the wreckage alive. Having completed the search and rescue activities in the Antakya district of Hatay, the teams continue to work in the region with the sentry teams to ensure fire safety in the Iskenderun district under the coordination of AFAD.

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Zolan said they are proud of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade teams working hard in search and rescue activities.
