Türkiye Individual Open Water Swimming Winter Championship and National Team Selection Competitions organized by the Turkish Swimming Federation took place in Gebze, Kocaeli, at the weekend. Denizli Metropolitan Belediyespor athletes, who participated in the competitions with 15 athletes, made Denizli once again proud of their success. In the competitions, Denizli Metropolitan Belediyespor Swimming Team athlete Ömer Emir Görkan became the Türkiye's second in the 3000 meters freestyle 13-year-old category and won the silver medal. On the other hand, the athletes of the Metropolitan Belediyespor swimming team İbrahim Burhan won 2nd place in the 2000 meters freestyle 12-Year-old Men category, Emine Doğa Aktaş became Türkiye's second in the 2000 meters freestyle 12-Year-old Girls category, Deniz Kılıç was the 3rd in the 3000 meters freestyle 13-Year-old Men category, and Berkay Çağdaş Ülker placed the Türkiye's 7th in the 2000m freestyle 12-Year-Old Men category. The young athletes were entitled to participate in the Open Water National Team Development Camp with their degrees, making Denizli proud again.
