The Denizli High School Traditional Debate Tournament, organized for the 11th time this year by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Youth Assembly, has been completed. The final of the tournament held between 2 and 4 March, was held at the Metropolitan Municipality Nihat Zeybekci Congress and Culture Center. Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Zolan, City Council President Ali Değirmenci, City Council Youth Assembly President Tunahan Biden, teachers and students attended the final program of the tournament in which 33 teams participated. Aydem Science High School, Erbakır Science High School, Dostek College and Çivril Şevkiye Private Science High School competed in the final debate on the theme "In a war where the government had little chance of winning, it would rather give up than fight." In the jury's evaluation, Aydem Science High School came first, Dostek College came second, Erbakır Science High School came third, and Çivril Şevkiye Private Science High School came fourth. The best speaker was Mustafa Görkem Akbay from the Organized Affairs Team.

In his speech at the award ceremony, the Mayor expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed, stating that even participating in the tournament meant winning. Mayor Zolan, indicating that he enjoyed a very pleasant debate, said, ''Seeing our youth express themselves this way makes us happy. Hopefully, you will be more successful than us. With your successes, you will make our country and yourselves even happier. Congratulations and best wishes. ''Mayor Osman Zolan then gave awards to the winning teams. Not hesitating to encourage the young participants, Mayor Osman Zolan received big applause by increasing the award amounts during the ceremony.
