The second session of the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality August Ordinary Meeting took place under the chairmanship of Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu. The 14th agenda item regarding the sister city relationships between Denizli Metropolitan Municipality and 13 municipalities was discussed during the meeting. The item, which aims to enhance economic and social relations, collaborate on joint activities and projects in culture, tourism, art, and sports, and strengthen mutual assistance, solidarity, cooperation, and coordination between municipalities, was unanimously approved.

 

The sister city relationships

 

Accordingly, sister city relationships will be established between Uşak Municipality and the municipalities of Başmakçı, Dinar, and Evciler in Afyonkarahisar; Yeşilçiftlik Municipality in Sultandağı; Karaadilli Municipality in Şuhut; Derince, İzmit, and Karamürsel municipalities in Kocaeli; and Altınordu, Çamaş, Gürgentepe, and Kabataş municipalities in Ordu. Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu expressed his hope that the sister city relationships with these 13 municipalities will bring beauty to the city and stated that they will work on developing economic and social relations with the sister municipalities and undertake joint projects in various fields.
