A message of peace and friendship to the world
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu met with young people from Bulgaria, Slovakia, Romania, and North Macedonia who came to Denizli as part of the Erasmus Project of Lütfü Ege Anatolian High School's Youth Group. The meeting, which took place in the council chamber, was also attended by Deputy Secretary General Özgür Başkurt, Head of the Youth and Sports Services Department Ayşe Sarıkaya, and other accompanying officials. Project Coordinator Feride Sevinç mentioned in her speech that the theme of the project was social entrepreneurship, and the guest students shared the models from their countries on this topic. Sevinç also noted that they participated in social and cultural programs, learned about the social projects of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, and thanked Mayor Çavuşoğlu for his support.
Different colours of the world in Denizli
Mayor Çavuşoğlu expressed his happiness at bringing together the diverse colours of the world in Denizli, stating, ''We believe that the world can be happy together. We are on a journey towards a Türkiye and a world where we can share common feelings that arise not from our differences but simply from our shared humanity. Although each of us may have different colours, languages, and religions, one of the most important things we share is having big hearts capable of loving each other. In this sense, your visit to Denizli is truly significant. ''He added that a beautiful world can be created together, and he and his team would give their best effort to achieve this. Mayor Çavuşoğlu concluded, ''We hope we can achieve wonderful things together. Your visit has honoured and delighted us. We thank you all.''
Peace at home, peace in the world
Highlighting the importance of people loving one another and drawing attention to the evils of war, Mayor Çavuşoğlu encouraged the youth to become advocates for peace and reminded them of the words of the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who said ''Peace at home, peace in the world. ''Referring to the wars in Gaza, Ukraine, and other regions, Mayor Çavuşoğlu stated, ''It is important not to forget that many lives have been lost under the pretence of enriching imperialist powers. In this sense, I hope you will make a significant difference by bringing peace to the world. ''Following the speeches, the youth were informed about the social projects of the Metropolitan Municipality.
They are getting to know the culture of Denizli
As part of the program, the guest youth visited the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Department of Culture and Tourism to learn about the city's cultural aspects. They also participated in a breath and awareness training organized by the Youth and Sports Services Department at the İncilipınar Sports Complex. Later, the youth joined their peers at a Youth Camp organized by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality specifically for high school students.
