The awards found their owners

 

The gala and award night of the International Denizli Short Film Festival, organized for the first time this year by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality between December 2-6, was held. The event took place at the Nihat Zeybekci Congress and Cultural Center. The event was attended by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu, Deputy Mayor Ali Marım, Secretary General Bülent Bozbaş, famous artist Güven Kıraç, the festival's jury members including actress Ece Özdikici, actor and director İskender Altın, actor Mehmet Ali Nuroğlu, actress Sezin Bozacı, actor Ufuk Kaplan, Prof. Dr. Zuhal Özel Sağlamtimur, directors, and many cinema enthusiasts. In his speech, Mayor Çavuşoğlu stated that they had started a beautiful journey with the first short film festival and mentioned that the festival had received great interest from the people of Denizli.

 

Denizli, the city of art

 

Mayor Çavuşoğlu said, "When we embarked on this journey, we had a dream of a city where everyone could be happy, a city that touches everyone and every segment. In this dream, our main motto was to create the city of Denizli, the city of happy people. And in this city of happy people, we needed a piece of everything, from agriculture to animal husbandry, tourism, and most importantly, art. The city of art, Denizli, is a dream we are trying to take to a better point every day by increasing our efforts. Today, this short film festival has become one of the colours in that dream. We saw that Denizli's meeting with art and artists in this sense not only touched us emotionally but also boosted our motivation. ''After his speech, Mayor Çavuşoğlu presented plaques to the jury members. At the end of the evening, Deputy Mayor Ali Marım presented a plaque to Mayor Çavuşoğlu in appreciation of his support for art and artists.

 

Awards were given in 12 categories

 

At the award ceremony, hosted by İpek Dağıstanlı, awards were given to the works selected from among the 38 finalists. Actors and directors took turns speaking, thanking Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu for organizing such a beautiful event. During the colourful award night, the awards in 12 categories were distributed as follows:

Best Film Music: El İzi - Mert İzgi

Best Screenplay: Eksi 1 - Director Ömer Ferhat Özmen
