''We Want Holidays to Be Celebrated with the Greatest Enthusiasm''
Speaking to the public at Delikliçınar Square, Mayor Çavuşoğlu expressed the joy of celebrating such an important and special day with enthusiasm. He said, ''We want today to feel like a carnival. We want holidays to be celebrated with the greatest joy. These holidays mark the days when the fate of this country changed. We have a wise leader who gifted the most beautiful day in the world to children as a holiday. I feel endless gratitude and appreciation for Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades in arms. Because if they had not embarked on that great journey, we wouldn't be here today with all our different colours. ''
Sovereignty Belongs Unconditionally to the Nation
CHP Denizli Provincial Chair Ali Osman Horzum also celebrated the holiday with the people of Denizli, stating, ''We are such a fortunate nation that the only children's holiday in the world is in the Republic of Türkiye. We have such a leader who entrusted the future of our country to the youth. We will protect this Republic, entrusted to us by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, to the very end. ''
Merkezefendi Mayor Şeniz Doğan added, ''April 23rd, when sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation, is a day that commemorates the great struggle of Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades, and it is a day when the will and sovereignty of the people prevail. ''
