Mayor Çavuşoğlu: We are grateful to those who gifted us this beautiful homeland
As part of a series of special events to fully celebrate the 23 April National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality continued the festivities with a concert by Gazapizm, one of the leading names in Turkish rap music. Held at Delikliçınar Square, the event drew a massive crowd, including Denizli Metropolitan Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu, his wife Nilgün Çavuşoğlu, many guests, and tens of thousands of citizens. During the night, when Denizli fully embraced the spirit of 23 April, Gazapizm performed his hit songs, delivering an unforgettable show to his fans. The crowd sang along in unison, creating a powerful atmosphere. Spectacular fireworks, light, and flame shows during the concert dazzled the audience.
''Together for a brighter future''
Speaking to the crowd before the concert, Mayor Çavuşoğlu said they organized numerous events throughout the week to honour the 23 April celebrations. Mayor Çavuşoğlu said, ''Today, Denizli has come together with its love, art, and unity. Today, we are all here together—men and women, young and old, in all our diversity—thanks to one visionary. We feel immense gratitude and respect for Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades, who, by establishing the Grand National Assembly on April 23, led this country to a bright future and gifted us this homeland through a journey that began in a small boat. ''
''We are Mustafa Kemal's soldiers''
Mayor Çavuşoğlu continued: ''We are not servants to imperialism or those who wish to make others bow down—we are Mustafa Kemal’s soldiers. We’re on this path not to make some people happy, but to bring joy to our children, our women, our mothers. On our journey, the resources of this city will be used for the people of this city. Our principle will not be about enriching a few, but enriching the people. In our vision, people won’t be divided as right-wing or left-wing, Turk or Kurd, Alevi or Sunni. We'll draw the line between those who are honest and those who are not, between those who steal and those who don’t. Together, with honourable people who believe in better days, we’ll live with hope for a future where everything is beautiful. ''Following the speech, the beloved artist Gazapizm took the stage. Mayor Çavuşoğlu later thanked the rapper and presented him with a rooster statue—a symbol of Denizli—as a memento of the day.
