Metropolitan National Library welcomes the students.

As part of the visits organised during Library Week, students from many educational institutions, such as Yaşar Kımıl Science High School, Hacı İbrahim Demireren Cumhuriyet Kindergarten, Vildan College, Ekobilim College, and Bereketli Kindergarten, were hosted. With programs specially prepared for each age group from preschool to high school, meetings with student groups will continue throughout the week to instil a culture of libraries and reinforce reading habits.

A variety of programs are prepared for all age groups.

Within the prepared programs, visitors not only explored the library shelves but also participated in activities planned according to their age groups. Storytelling sessions for younger children and interactive reading activities organised for kindergarten students enriched children’s imagination. In workshops and informational tours organised for young people, modern library services and methods of accessing digital resources were introduced. Through talks centred on the love of books, the power of knowledge, and its role in personal development were once again emphasised.

“We are building the cultural memory of our city together”

Emphasising that the most important foundation in building and shaping a society lies within the lines of books, Denizli Metropolitan Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu stated that libraries are not merely places where books are stored, but living cultural centres that breathe and transform society. Mayor Çavuşoğlu said, “As emphasised by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the path to true development lies in reading and knowledge. Through the projects we implement and the events we organise, we are strengthening the culture of coexistence, as well as an atmosphere of love and respect in Denizli. By instilling a love of books in our children, young people, and individuals of all ages, we are building the cultural memory and bright future of our city.”
