80 women raised awareness through Zumba

 

 Denizli Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to ensure that individuals with autism take a stronger place in social life and to raise awareness. The Zumba event organised within this scope became a remarkable example of both the unifying power of sports and social solidarity.

 

''Light it up red for autism''

 

 Supporting the ''Light It Up Red for Autism'' campaign, which has become a global symbol for autism awareness, 80 female participants attended the event wearing red clothing and accessories. Through their performance, participants delivered a strong message that autism is not a deficiency, but a difference. During the event, which saw high participation, physical activity was encouraged while also providing information about the experiences of individuals with autism. The event, held in a lively and dynamic atmosphere, received great appreciation, and participants expressed their gratitude to Denizli Metropolitan Municipality for organising this meaningful activity.

 Denizli Metropolitan Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu emphasised the importance of enabling individuals with autism to realise their potential, stating, ''As Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, we stand by our individuals with autism at every step, from education to sports, from social spaces to rehabilitation processes, to ensure their full and equal participation in social life. The awareness shown today by our 80 female participants is highly valuable in increasing social consciousness. Together with our differences, we are much stronger. ''
