An Anatolian Rock Legend remembered through his works
The concert, held at the DBB Congress and Culture Centre Özay Gönlüm Hall, took place with the intense participation of Denizli residents. Cem Karaca’s iconic works were brought back to life through the powerful performance of musician Alper Kayman and the accompaniment of the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory City Orchestra conducted by Hakan Eyiden.

Music lovers filling the hall formed a massive chorus from the very beginning of the night, singing along to Cem Karaca’s timeless songs. The nostalgic atmosphere created by the stage lighting, combined with Alper Kayman’s powerful interpretation, brought the spirit of Cem Karaca to life throughout the hall. The stage performance and the orchestra’s professionalism throughout the concert received full marks from the audience.
“Denizli: The centre of culture and art”
At the end of the night, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Ali Marım delivered a speech, congratulated the artists for their performance, and presented them with flowers. Marım stated, “We remember with longing the great master Cem Karaca, who blended the voice of Anatolia with rock music and conveyed our joys and sorrows through melodies. Today, we did not just attend a concert; we collectively commemorated one of the strongest voices of our social memory. As Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, we will continue to keep alive the values produced by this land and bring our citizens together with qualified cultural and artistic events. I extend my gratitude to all the artists who contributed to this night and to our esteemed fellow citizens.”
