The 2nd Denizli Opera and Ballet Days begin

Hosted by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, the 2nd Denizli Opera and Ballet Days will bring world-renowned works to art lovers. Organised in cooperation with the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet, the event will open with the opera Troya. Denizli Metropolitan Mayor Bülent Nuri Çavuşoğlu invited all citizens to this cultural gathering.

Denizli Metropolitan Brings World Stages to the City

Denizli is once again hosting a prominent organization in the field of culture and arts. The second edition of the “Denizli Opera and Ballet Days,” organised by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet, is set to begin. Held with the aim of transforming the city into a meeting point of art and aesthetics, the event once again draws attention with its comprehensive program. The organisation will open with the opera Troya, to be staged on May 8–9, 2026, at 20:00. Composed by Bujor Hoinic, the work will be performed by the İzmir State Opera and Ballet at the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Congress and Culture Centre Özay Gönlüm Hall.

Unforgettable Performances at Historic Venues

The program will continue throughout the year with distinguished works staged at various venues. On August 5, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, and on August 8, Mikis Theodorakis’s Zorba will meet audiences at the Hierapolis Ancient Theatre. On September 4, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 will be performed at the Laodikeia Ancient Theatre. The season will conclude on November 20–21 with Georges Bizet’s opera Carmen at the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Congress and Culture Centre. Events held in the enchanting atmosphere of historic venues will bring together art and cultural heritage on the same stage.
