The “Büyükşehirle Üreten Kadınlar Festival,” organized by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality to support women entrepreneurs and combine Mother’s Day excitement with handmade products, has begun. The opening ceremony, held at the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Congress and Culture Center, was attended by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor and City Council President Ali Marım, artist Tuğba Ger, protocol members, and a large number of citizens. The festival opened following a moment of silence and the singing of the Turkish National Anthem, with a zeybek performance staged by women trained under the “Let No Woman Who Doesn’t Know Zeybek Remain” project.

Marım: “The dreams of our women are turning into income”

Delivering the opening speech, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor and City Council President Ali Marım emphasized the importance of women’s active participation in economic life. Marım said, “As Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, we are deeply honored to witness our women turning their dreams into income. Today, here, our women entrepreneurs are bringing their own efforts and original designs together with the people of Denizli. Our aim is both to support our women in contributing to their family economy and to provide our citizens with a quality shopping environment ahead of Mother’s Day. We thank all our women for their hard work and dedication.” After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, protocol members and participants visited the festival area and spoke with women entrepreneurs.
