
Young Denizli presented Karagöz-Hacivat play in Bulgaria
In the context of the Civil Society Dialogue Media Grant Project called ''Conformity of Local Media with EU'' the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Young Denizli Theatre Club introduced the traditional Turkish shadow theater, Karagöz-Hacivat in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Young Denizli Theatre Club participated in the ''Conformity of Local Media with EU'' project conducted in coordination with the Mudanya Journalists Association within the Civil Society Dialogue Media Grant Program between Turkey and the EU. During the visits hosted by the Union of Bulgarian Journalists in Sofia, the capital of Bugaria, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Young Denizli Theatre Club has introduced the traditional Turkish shadow theater, Karagöz-Hacivat. Wearing the traditional clothes of Karagöz-Hacivat, Young Denizli Theatre Club members presented the show in several places in Turkish and Bulgarian. The traditional Turkish shadow theater, Karagöz-Hacivat presented by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Young Denizli Theatre Club on the streets of Sofia attracted the attention of Bulgarians. Mudanya Journalists Association President Yavuz Gerçekçi thanked the Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan, the Mayor of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Recep Altepe and the Mudanya Tourism Hoteliers Association President Akın Esgin for all the support provided.

In the context of the project, members of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Young Denizli Theatre Club visited the Polovdiv Dramatic Theatre, Plovdiv Puppet Theatre, an Ancient Roman Theatre and the National Theatre in Sofia.
