Mayor Zolan: Denizli will be satisfied from theatre plays

The 28th Amateur Theatre Festival began with cortege, which was the scene of colorful images. After the cortege, Mayor Osman Zolan held a press conference. He stated that the most important feature, which upholds a nation, is the unity of language, religion, history and culture. Mayor: ‘Culture is the unity of customs and manners, epics, oral and written literature and art. Services of our municipality do not consist only of road, water, sewage, cleaning and parks. Denizli Municipality organizes many important social and cultural activities. We know that art is the factor, which raises creativity and productivity of people.
Denizli is a candidate to be the capital of Turkey in the field of art and culture. The 28th Amateur Theatre Festival is a source of pride for us. Because we know that theater is the art of thinking. Theatre is innovative and queries the life. Theater provides an opportunity to discover you. I invite all citizens to participate in the festival.’
Total 28 groups and groups from TRNC, Macedonia, Hungary and Kazakhstan participate in Festival, which will last until 20 May.
