Biography

Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan was born in 1964 in Denizli, Tavas District. He finished primary school in Tavas - Garipköy, secondary and high school in Isparta - Gönen Teacher High School. He graduated from the Law Faculty of Dokuz Eylül University. He worked as a lawyer registered to Denizli Bar Association. During this period, he served actively in civil society organizations. In the Local Elections on March 28, 2004, Mayor Zolan was elected member of Denizli City Council. Between 2004 and 2011 he served as the Deputy Mayor of Denizli Municipality. Elected as the Mayor of Denizli Municipality on March 16, 2011, Osman Zolan continued his mayoral duty until the Local Authorities General Elections held on March 30, 2014, when he was chosen with the full support of the people as the Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality. Mayor Zolan is married and has 2 children.
