Merkez Efendi Traditional Medicine Days

The 2nd Merkez Efendi Traditional Medicine Festival, organized in cooperation with Denizli and Zeytinburnu Municipalities came to and end.
During the Festival herbal plants were exhibited.
Sezai Günalp deputy mayor and many citizens attended the exhibition. Health Department of Denizli Municipality has offered the free public health screening. Parks and Gardens Department has distributed basil to all participants of festival. Within the festival, citizens received information about Merkez Efendi and herbal plants.
Academicians of various universities of Turkey conveyed information about Merkez Efendi; general information about medicine; plants used in diabetes; plants and their uses; Carob - Economic Importance and Potential Assessment; Olive - the tree of immortality; Biological properties of pomegranate juice and Medical Use of Nigella Sativa.
Şamil Çınar deputy mayor thanked all academicians for their participation in the festival as speakers and presented them various gifts. Merkez Efendi Traditional Medicine Days will be continued in İstanbul / Zeytinburnu between 9-16 June / 2012.
