Denizli Municipality is 'First' in Europe
Denizli Municipality's 'Disabled At Work' project was awarded as the Best Project in European Enterprise Promotion Awards 2012 Competition the category of Responsible Entrepreneurship.

This important social responsibility project of Denizli Municipality brought the award to Turkey .
402 projects from 30 countries participated in the competition, sponsored by the European Commission since 2006. 'Disabled at Work' Project is among 12 projects of Turkey, which represented Turkey in this competition and took the first place.
Mayor Zolan: ‘This is what we mean by the word 'Denizli is the World City'. Denizli Municipality's project took the first place in the competition and it is very important for our city. We are very proud to represent Turkey in international competition.
THIS IS OUR PRIDE
In recent years Denizli Municipality implements many important projects. We introduced Denizli with many 'Firsts'. Denizli Municipality was chosen the 'Most Environmental Municipality', 'The Healthiest City' and 'The Cleanest City'. Also municipality took the first place in such social responsibility projects as 'Young Denizli' and 'I Love My Family' Projects. Denizli Municipality services consist not only from road, water, sewage, cleaning and sidewalks works, but we also have implemented many social responsibility projects. This project is one of them. I am very proud that 'Disabled at Work' project participates in such important organization. This award is an indication, that we are doing a good deeds. This is a pride for us. 'Disabled at Work' project provides participation of persons with physical disabilities in employment and labor market and also supported the need for workforce in Denizli. In this regard Denizli Municipality was awarded in category of 'Responsible Entrepreneurship'.'
'DISABLED AT WORK' PROJECT
The project is conducted in partnership with 16 institutions of Netherlands and Turkey. The budget of project is 700 000 EUR. The aim of the project is to ensure participation of people with disabilities in the labor market.
Disabled at Work project was signed on June in 2007 and was implemented under management of Workability Europe in Denizli for 3 years. Within the framework of the project, 10 674 disabled were registered and 107 disabled were tested with the ruward test method. 194 disabled persons received training and 65 of them were employed.
