Denizli's 3rd Aegean Minstrels Feast began

The 3rd Aegean Minstrels Feast, organized by Denizli Municipality has began for the third time. Denizli Municipality has gathered together 25 minstrels from 21 different parts of Turkey and 4 minstrels from Azerbaijan, Iraq Kirkuk and Georgia.
Many folk song lovers took part In the feast which was held at Çatalçeşme Theatre Room. Mayor Osman Zolan, Rector of PAU Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bağcı, Şamil Çınar and Ali Değirmenci deputy mayors attended the festival. At the first day of the festival Temel Turabi, Murat Tanrıverdi, Abdullah Gizlice, Ahmet Poyrazoğlu, Erol Ergani, Ayten Gülçınar, Orhan Üstündağ, Bayram Denizoğlu, Fuat Çerkezoğlu, Zafer Kazancı, Mustafa Buğrahan, Erol Şahiner, Mustafa Kurbanoğlu, İrfan Erdağı, Günay Yıldız, Osman Akçay, Mahir Güler, Zakir Tekgül, Kemal Tiryaki, Behram Aktemur, Ozan Nihat Sönmez, Nargile Mehtiyeva and Şahbaz Memedov from Georgia, Helime Veyisova from Azerbaijan and Ahmet Rıza Abbo from Iraq Kirkuk came on the scene with saz (the musical instrument).
Denizli’s minstrel Nihat Sönmez (Minstrel Nihat) hosted minstrels. He greeted all minstrels and folk song lovers with saz and words. Minstrels with folk songs and saz added color to the concert. Poems, written for Çanakkale Martyrs led to moments of full emotions.
At the end of the program Mayor presented plaque to minstrels.
