Magnificent Gala
Organized this year for 13th time by Denizli Municipality the International Folk Dance Festival's program has ended with the magnificent gala. 500 dancers from 15 countries lived an unforgettable night for people who came at Ziya Tıkıroğlu Open Air Theatre. In the final of the night 25 musicians from 15 countries being orchestra were playing the traditional harmandalı and groom halay dances and a grup of 30 people composed of every countries representatives played zeybek and made halay.
Organized for 13th time this year by Denizli Municipality the premiere of International Folk Dance Festival was breathtaking with the beautiful shows exhibit by the groups. During the festival every day in Çınar Square, Incilipınar Park, Justice Park for Denizli's citizens and for the first time this year with the Metropolitan performing demonstrations at Honaz, Buldan Acıpayam, Tavas, and Çivril 500 dancers from 15 countries signed an unforgettable week for Denizli and its counties. The premiere of the festival took place in the Ziya Tıkıroğlu Open Air Theatre.
Mayor of Denizli Municipality Osman Zolan attended the festival's gala and was the scene of great enthusiasm and incredible color moments. Thousands of art lovers came to watch the gala program at the open air theatre while Uzbekistan, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Gambia, India, Moldova, Adjara, Romania, Serbia, Cyprus, Slovakia, Thailand, Jordan, Ukraine and the host of Denizli Municipality Folk Dance Group PAHOY were invited on the stage and gala program began. All the groups took their place on stage and greeted the audience with enthusiasm. Before the shows starting Mayor of Denizli Municipality came on the stage and offered the representatives of each group plaque to commemorate the festival.
Mayor Zolan, specifying in his speech that here, at the festival cultures from all around the world came together, said: We brought together the different colors of the world in Denizli. Our aim is to contribute to universal peace. Our festival, plays an important role in maintaining intercultural cohesion. Friendships that bind here remain for life. Our aim is to promote our city by people who from different countries, each one being a voluntary envoy for Denizli and bringing a contribution to development and intercultural communication. With the festival cultural colors gathered in Denizli. We conveyed Denizli' s own culture for our incoming guests. We are happy to bring here the colors from different continents of the world. The goal here is by providing cultural exchange to contribute to world peace.n With tonight we made one step closer to our goal.I would like to thank to all groups who participated in the festival and to everyone who contributed to it, ''he said.
Denizli Municipality PAHOY Folk Dance Group took the stage first at the premiere than guest teams with their traditional outfit exhibited folk dances of their country. Lasted over three hours the exhibited demonstrations, the performance of folk dance teams, have been applauded by the audience for a long time. Coming from different corners of the world sharing their own cultural values, for people who came at the open air theater our guest dancers, worth seeing.
In the final of the night 25 musicians from 15 countries being orchestra were playing the traditional harmandalı and groom halay dances and a grup of 30 people composed of every countries representatives played zeybek and made halay. Dancers from different countries playing zeybek dance and making halay worth seeing.
At the end of the night, all the dancers came on stage holding in their hands their country flags and Turkish flags and enjoy the pleasure of the festival dancing together.
