The Spectacular Gala of Folk Dance Festival

The spectacular gala of the 14th International Folk Dance Festival organized by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality with the participation of 350 dancers from 11 countries was held at the Ziya Tıkıroğlu Open Air Theater.
Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Gökoğlan and thousands of art lovers attended with great interest the gala held at Ziya Tıkıroğlu Open Air Theater.
Stating that the International Folk Dance Festival is an opportunity to meet the cultures of different countries, Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan, ''Folk Dance is the essence of the nation, is the culture of the nation. We wanted to meet Denizli with different colors and cultures. Korean Folk Dance group will be in Denizli in the month of Ramadan. This year we have organized the 14th edition of the International Folk Dance Festival. The festival runs very successful and beautiful this year. All groups participating in the festival tell us their culture through dance. I give a great importance to this festival. Because people from different countries will meet in Denizli and their common language will be dancing. Denizli's contribution to peace will be done trough dance. This year Bulgaria, Indonesia, Georgia, Cyprus, Korea, Kosovo, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Serbia and the host Denizli Municipality PAHOY Folk Dance Ensemble in a total of 350 dancers from 11 countries have taken the stage and have showed us their own folk dances. I thank all the citizens who came to see the different colors of the world and to be part of this beautiful night, ''he said.
After Mayor Zolan's speech the dancers from 11 countries performed their shows and make a memorable night for all the audience.
