Shopping Festival began in the historic Kaleiçi Bazaar
Organized by the Kaleiçi Beautification and Cultural Association, with the support of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, the 4th Traditional Kaleiçi Shopping Festival began. During the festivities that will last until November 30, the historic Kaleiçi Bazaar will be mobilized and the citizens will get products at affordable prices.
The 4th Traditional Kaleiçi Shopping Festival began in the 800 years of history Kaleiçi Bazaar of Denizli. Organized by the Kaleiçi Beautification and Cultural Association, with the support of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality and Denizli Chamber of Commerce (DCC) the 4th Traditional Kaleiçi Shopping Festival will mobilize the historic Kaleiçi Bazaar and the citizens will get products at affordable prices. The opening ceremony of the festival that will last until November 30 was held in Kaleiçi Bazaar. Festival began with the concert held by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Janissary Band and with the speech of the president of the Kaleiçi Beautification and Cultural Association, Soner Yıldız. He thanked the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality and DCC for all the support. DCC President Necdet Özer said that Kaleiçi Bazaar has a long history, but with its traditional shopping version it stood strong in the face of modern shopping centers.
''We'll move to the future the historic Bazaar''
Stressing that the historic Kaleiçi Bazaar is a heritage from our ancestors, Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan said: ''800 years ago our ancestors designed a beautiful shopping center with branches of every sector dispersed on different streets in the Bazaar. We thank them forever. May them rest in peace. As their descendants, we will tightly protect these values. We are willing to carry these beauties to the future, ''he said. Stating that they want to meet the future generations with the historic beauty and the spiritual atmosphere of Kaleiçi, Mayor Zolan said: ''We carried out many projects in Kaleiçi in terms of infrastructure and superstructure. As always, we will continue to protect Kaleiçi, a value entrusted to us, and to move it into the future.''
Mayor Zolan and his retinue made shopping
Inviting all the citizens to the shopping festival, Mayor Zolan wished that the 4th Traditional Kaleiçi Shopping Festival to be auspicious and wished tradesmen to have as many sales. After the speeches, the 4th Traditional Kaleiçi Shopping Festiva began with the traditional prayers. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, Mayor Zolan and his retinue made shopping in the historic Kaleiçi Bazaar.
