Young Denizli is winning again!

One of Turkey's most important youth projects, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Young Denizli Project has won another award. This year the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality hosted the 25th Ordinary Assembly Meeting of the Turkish Healthy Cities Association. Mersin Governor Özdemir Çakacak, Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Burhanettin Kocamaz, Deputy Chairman of the Healthy Cities Association and Gebze Municipality Mayor Adnan Köşker, together with the 64 municipality mayors members, assembly members, and invited guests joined the Renewable Energy for Healthy Cities conference. In the conference were shared information about the renewable energies and their use. At the end of the conference, took place the award ceremony for the Healthy Cities 2016 Best Practice Competition. 

 
Young Denizli Porject chosen from 28 projects

34 out of 64 municipalities members of the Healthy Cities Association participated in the competition with 100 projects. A specialized jury evaluated a total of 28 projects in the social responsibility category, 20 projects in the healthy urban planning category, 31 projects in the wellness category, and 21 projects in the healthy environment category. After the evaluation, the ''Young Denizli Project'', successfully implemented for many years by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality received the "Best Social Responsibility Project" award in the competition. The Head of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Department, Naciye Kapukıran received the award from the Healthy Cities Association Awards Committee Chairman Prof. Dr. Ruşen Keles and the Deputy Chairman of the Healthy Cities Association and Gebze Municipality Mayor Adnan Köşker, on behalf of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Zolan.
