Denizli Metropolitan Municipality which has organized the cartoon contest nationally since 2017, carries out the contest this year at an international level. This year’s topic of 1st International Cartoon Contest of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality has been specified as Climate Change and Organic Agriculture. All cartoons will be sent digitally to the contest which is open to amateur and professional cartoonists all over the world.  Cartoonists will participate this contest on eng.denizli.bel.tr . The deadline for application is determined as until 12.00 (a.m)  7  March 2021, on Sunday. For the contest, there will be five different  prizes as first prize winner  (7500 TL),  second prize winner (5000 TL), third prize winner (3500 TL), honorable mention (3 pieces of prize,  1500 TL) and the prize for under 18 years old (2 pieces of prize, 750 TL). A cartoonist can participate the contest with maximum three cartoons. 

 

The specifications were published in both Turkish and English 

 

Published in Turkish and English, the specifications of 1st International Cartoon Contest of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality are to be acquired on eng.denizli.bel.tr.  The evaluation meeting of the jury will be conducted on 13 March 2021 (on Saturday) and 14 March 2021 (on Sunday).  In addition, the results will be announced on the official websites of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality ‘’eng.denizli.bel.tr‘’ on 17 March 2021 (on Wednesday). The date of prize-giving ceremony will be announced later.

Mayor Osman ZOLAN said that Denizli Metropolitan Municipality  which organized the cartoon contest nationally previous years, would carry out at an international level this year. He also added ‘We wanted to bring up Climate Change and Organic Agriculture, we see it as a problem that threatens the whole world, with the your valuable interpretations as master cartoonists. Thus, we desired to contribute to the awareness of people’. He wished success for all cartoonists who would participate in the cartoon contest. Lastly, he said that as Denizli Metropolitan Municipality; we were one of the foremost municipalities  to prepare action planning about climate change and we tackle with this problem to hand down a more livable world to the next generations.
