Mayor Zolan's gift to women on March 8th

 

The Women Producing with the Metropolitan Festival, organized by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality in celebration of International Women's Day on March 8th, is opening its doors for the 4th time. The three-day festival will be colourful with concerts, discussions, workshops, and theatre performances. Denizli Metropolitan Municipality is hosting the fourth edition of the Women Producing with the Metropolitan Festival from March 8 to 10, aiming to support and contribute to women entrepreneurs and artists engaged in Turkish handicrafts, assist in their development, preserve forgotten arts and crafts, and contribute to family budgets. The festival will take place at the Nihat Zeybekci Congress and Culture Center, where 260 women will set up stands for their handmade and heartfelt products. The festival will open its doors on March 8th, Friday, at 12.00 and will host various distinguished guests throughout the event.

Famous guests will meet with the people of Denizli.

The guest of honour of the 4th Women Producing with the Metropolitan Festival will be Türkan Şoray, the legendary name of Turkish Cinema. Alongside the esteemed actress Türkan Şoray, the festival will bring together beloved singer Dilek Türkan, Elif Buse Doğan, Zara, Masterchef Danilo Zanna, as well as prominent figures in social entrepreneurship and social responsibility, such as Prof. Dr. Itır Erhart and Beyhan Budak. The festival will begin on March 8th, International Women's Day, with a wreath-laying ceremony by the Denizli Metropolitan Municipality City Council Women's Assembly at 11:00 at the Atatürk Monument in the 15 Temmuz Delikliçınar Şehitler Square.

 

A wonderful festival awaits you

 

On the first day of the festival (March 8th) at 15.00, master actress Türkan Şoray, one of the first names that comes to mind about Turkish Cinema, will have a talk. On the same day, Dilek Türkan, one of the successful musicians of Turkish music, will meet the people of Denizli at the concert to be held at 20.00. On Saturday, March 9, at 15.00, Prof. Dr. Itır Erhart will perform the works of the popular singer Elif Buse Doğan for the people of Denizli at the workshop called Social Entrepreneurship at 20.00 in the evening. On Sunday, March 10, at 13.00, Masterchef Danilo Zanna will meet with his fans for an interview. Popular clinical psychologist Beyhan Budak will answer your questions at 15.00. The closing of the festival will be crowned with a magnificent concert. Zara, the master of Turkish Folk Music, will take the stage at 17.00 on Sunday. On the other hand, experts will be with the people of Denizli for three days with workshops and trainings on ceramic art, healthy nutrition and entrepreneurship. In addition to theatre performances, magician shows, band concerts, face painting, clowns, sausage balloon distribution, planetarium shows, and flash mob events will be held for children throughout the festival.

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Osman Zolan expressed that every project involving women has been successfully concluded so far and invited all fellow citizens to the upcoming festival, which they will organize for the fourth time. Reminding that this special festival will open its doors on International Women's Day, March 8thth, having very special guests, Mayor Zolan said, ''Women are our mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, closest relatives, and our beloved ones. We are organizing our festival, this time on International Women's Day. We support women not only for one day but every day. I invite all fellow citizens, especially our female friends, to our special festival. Our festival, where we will host distinguished personalities, will be another beautiful event. The festival will showcase a wide range of handmade and meticulously crafted products from Turkish handicrafts, including home textiles and ready-to-wear items. Various crafts such as woodworking, jewellery making, copper craftsmanship, jewellery design, sewing, knitting, traditional baby doll making with traditional clothing, knife crafting, glasswork, pottery, leathercraft, weaving, silversmithing, recycled decorative items, miniature objects, basketry, cosmetics, skincare, ceramic craftsmanship, tilework, Turkish decorative arts (illumination, calligraphy, miniature, marbling), wire bending, embroidery, and needlework will be featured. Additionally, the festival will include regional homemade dry foods, cakes, jams, pickles, and other food items.
